Dear Incoming Pre-Calculus Students,
We hope after reading each bulleted item, the words of advice will serve you well. We wish you continued success in Pre-Calculus throughout the school year. Good luck and stay studious!
~Pre-Calculus Students 2016-17
- Youre going to constantly do homework, you have an assingment every night and if you think you can get away with missing a few youre wrong. Well you probably can but your homework grade will basically drop a whole number grade. Dont take the class if you dont think you can handle the work. I trued dropping it this year and i regret the fact i wasnt able to since its been my worst year in math. Another tip, dont just copy the homework, its going to screw you over in the end when you take a quiz or test.
- Your homework is literally almost the only practice you'll get. Doing the homework is important this year especially for your understanding of how to do the work
- You should do all your homework, pay attention in class, and study so that you'll do good on quizzes and tests. Try not to miss this class or you'lol get lost.
- When you don't understand something get help as the unit goes on you will need it and it'll be a lot harder to understand things
- When coming into pre-calc, BE PREPARED. It can get challenging and VERY confusing at times. If u miss a day, make sure to look at the notes and try to get an understanding of what's going on. If you still don't understand, ask Mr.B. He is an amazing teacher who is ALWAYS willing to help. DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!! i cannont stress this enough. Even if u dont do the assignment, turn it in late BECAUSE IT HELPS IN THE LONG RUN! Ask questions too! even if you feel like they're dumb, Mr. B will always answer to his best abilities. This class got pretty hard, but you can and WILL make it! believe! and if you dont feel up for the challenge, drop it. there is no point in you taking this class if you're not prepared or are not up for a good challenge. Retake things, do your best, you got this!
- Whatever you do, for the love of God, don't be lazy and copy, actually do the work, study cuz if not, it's gonna come back and bite you and kill u, metaphorically speaking
- What I've learned this year is that it is 100% possible to pass without doing 90% of the homework. But that route isn't something I'd exactly recommend. If you want to avoid spending hours staying after school making up tests and such, as well as a load of stress that you may not be able to handle. Simply, don't be the kind of student I was. Do your homework, pay attention in class, and STUDY! Do all that and you'll pass with flying colors, it's only as hard
- Just study for quizzes and tests that's all you'll need
- Always do ALL your homework and be here everyday so that you dont fall behind. Mr. H is an awsome teacher, enjoy it!
- PLEASE DO YOUR HW! It's essential through out the year. Pay close attention in class, please ask questions! If you don't understand something ask! Come after school if you need extra help. Lucky you if you get this amazing teacher ??
- If you get a bad grade in your key concept test, RETAKE the test! your test grade does effect your over all grade a lot so take the opportunity and do the retake
- Advice i have for precalc is to always do your homework, it'll help our later. Make sure you know the concept/materials from the unit your learning and study for all your tests and quizzes.
- I loved this class because Mr. Horvath was such a nice teacher, but I hated how everyday we learned something new. I had to do the homework everyday to keep up, so don't slack off. Your effort will reflect in your grade. If you are like me and hate getting bad grades, retake tests and quizzes as soon as you can and you will be fine.
- Pre-Calc isn't as challenging as many make it out to be. There is a lot of equations to memorize but as soon as you pick up on them and with practice, the class becomes much easier. Make sure to do all your work because not only does it impact your overall grade a lot, it also helps when it comes time to take a test. Also, never be afraid to ask for help. Your teacher is there to help you, take your education into your own hands and know when to ask for help.
- Always do your homework, don't miss class, and always go over your notes before an exam it would help you very much
- One piece of advice that I have is to not only take notes and do the homework, but to take the opportunity to read the book and go through all the examples it gives you. As many of those types of problems show up later on assessments. And they give you a better understanding of the topic. Which makes math more fun.
- the homework seems like it doesn't count a lot because its only 10% of you're grade but it can mean the difference between passing and failing really hard units
- hi, well to start of yay precalc good job. I think to be successful in this class, it's really about consistency and just doing everything you can. Do all your homework or at least try to because in the long run that can mend a quiz or test score and boost it up. Try and make friends or force yourself to socialize if you don't know anyone in the class because that can help you be less stressed in the class due to the fact that you don't feel alone. It's really all about what you put into the class and if you prioritize it by studying, getting help, doing your homework and coming to class. Regardless of what your grade is by the end you'd feel good either way knowing you tried and definetly sacrificed something's to get out other things. Don't be bummed out with the results because it's just one class or one semester or one whatever but try your best and don't get distracted. Good luck!
- I advise everyone to do their homework because honestly, easiest five of the class. And plus, it helps you comprehend the material more so when the test comes along, you'll hopefully know what to do. It truly helps to study. So do your homework, STUDY, and I also advise you ask questions no matter how simple or complicated it may sound.
- If you aren't good with keeping up with assignments, then you're probably going to have a hard time in this class because the homework assignments really help you practice what you're learning in the unit, also try to be present everyday, the more absences you have the more likely you are to have a hard time trying to catch up, last thing is don't copy homework, you can work with others, but if you decide to copy it instead then you're not going to learn anything from the unit and you'll be stuck behind. Have a good year future pre calc students :)
- Well if I tell you the truth and not what the teachers tell you to think.. the truth is get out this class while you still can!! Jkjk ? honestly pre calc is not hard. It's fast paste which I love because I'm fast at math but I forget easily. Like as soon as I pass the unit test, all the knowledge left my brain with the test which sucks because then you have finals and I'll be like uhh when I learned this but make friends, stay after school and retake yo stuff cause that always helps your grade if you know you won't make it in the finals and well have fun because yolo
- Practice , practice, practice and don't be lazy
- It's been a bumpy ride. Much more so than many others. For those taking multiple AP classes and this class, you better be ready to actually give some personal time to your class. It's not easy. Homework will stack up if you don't keep up. This isn't like the rest of the world that'll give you an award for trying. Success is key. Practice is key. Don't give up. You need to be ready, not only for math, but for your whole life. I came into this class thinking it was just any other math class. You know, you'll get through the lesson and still be able to draw in class while the teacher finishes up. That's not how it goes. Please. Try your best, and if you can't, I would suggest another class. My best wishes to you all.
- Do your homework. Its really helpful and helps you get to know the material better. And also its for a grade it can be the difference between a B and an A.
- Pre-calculus. It sounds scary, it really does! I know coming in I was terrified of starting off the school year. This class is definitely challenging, however, it is NOT impossible to succeed in it. It takes tremendous amount of hard work and motivation, but it's possible! Do NOT slack off. It is so easy to bring your grade down but to get it back up it's hard. Make sure to ALWAYS study for tests and quizzes. Yes, there's retakes. But keep in mind that the retakes are 5x HARDER THAN THE FIRST QUIZ AND TEST. I thought people were kidding when they said that, but they're not! Try to do your best the first time around to avoid retaking. Alwayssss do your homework. Yes, you'll have homework almost everyday and it can get annoying but it helps your grade so much and it's good practice. The homework assignments are usually harder than tests problems so they challenge you to be ready for unit tests. Please take the advice given here, we don't say it for no reason. We've survived the year and have gone through a lot of ups and downs. Learn from our experience! Mr. B is a great teacher who will always be there if you need help. No question is a dumb question! Stay after school if you need to. Study. Do NOT settle for "just passing". Good luck! Make the right choices.
- My experience with pre calc was great. To start off Mr.B is an amazing teacher, he is more than willing to help you with anything. In this course, it is crucial to pay attention in class, to ask questions, and participate. Personally, i was a very busy precalc students with many extracurricular that bamboozled me, but i was wise and managed my time wisely, I suggest that if you want to be a successful precalc student, to please manage your time, pay attention, participate and don't get stuck behind!
- The most important thing you can do is STUDYY!! Like fr you may think you know the subject well and everything, but I promise you you'll be shocked when you get your test/quiz results back. No matter how good you think you know the subject, Study. Also, always do ur hw. It really helps as practice, and I promise you you'll need as much practice as you can. Precalc isn't that hard, if you study hard and do your hw. It is tough, but not impossible. Some units will be easier than others, but try hard in all of them. Also, don't forget to label your graphs in your quizzes, Mr. B will take off points!
- Homework is KEY! You will struggle throughout the year as i have, Practice makes perfect. Also, study for your quiz's and tests! Studying increases your chance of getting that high grade you wish for.
- My advice for the new upcoming students taking precalc. Is to stay focus and have no distractions. Don't be afraid to ask a question because if your lost at some point, you won't be able to keep. Don't be scared of your teacher, they are super nice and kind enough to help you in any way. Take advantage of whatever help they offer you. Also, if you do bad on a test or quiz, retake and study. Studying is so important in class, for a student who doesn't like to study at all, I just had to with this class even if you may find it easy at some point, study. Homework is also important. If you are a person who doesn't like to do homework, get out of that habit. Homework is important in the fact that it gives you extra practice. If you get the homework, then you get what is going on this class. Even if you don't get it, still try it! This is my advice to you, take this class seriously. Good luck!
- If you plan on taking Pre-calculus you should know that you are going to have to take it seriously, don't blow off anything until last minute, Mr. B is a great teacher and he will help you however he can, but it is up to you to talk to him about what you're struggling on. Don't wait until last minute to do something because by then you are already stressed about it and most likely won't be ready for the exam or quiz or whatever it is that you need to do.
- Hello future precalc student. I won't lie, precalc is difficult, but it is manageable if you work hard and do your homework. Trust me, the homework helps, I remember one unit where I didn't do my homework all the time and that unit was the most stressful for me. Also, keep all your notes since you will sometimes go back to something you learned in previous units. Do not throw away your unit reviews or notes, they will come in handy once finals are near. The unit test reviews help way more than the notes. Anyway I know you can do it. If you don't do your homework you will struggle a lot this year. Also, let Mr. B help you if you need it, he is wonderfully nice and passionate about math. Good luck!
- Take the time to understand the homework and complete it on time. When you begin to slack off and miss an assignment it's difficult to make time to make it up. Don't make excuses
- Make friends who will help you when you are stuck and don't be afraid to ask for extra help, do not skip class it's not worth it
- Make sure to do all of the homework, and if you don't understand a problem don't leave it blank attempt to do it. If you need help ask for it because if you don't ask you won't get help. Make sure to retake tests and quizzes you do bad on, if you just say you'll "do better on the test" that won't always work out. Be present in class all if not most days because something new is taught everyday so attendance is important. Most importantly have fun because math is fun. :)
- Always do your homework & dont wait until the last retake day to show up for your test & or quiz, it'll get packed.
- Don't wait until last minute to study!!
- Pay attention, do your homework, and study! It's a good class but you will fall behind if you don't do your homework and study for quizzes/tests. Take the retakes seriously. Appreciate the information that is given and don't fall asleep! That's a big one! But mostly, just pay attention. It'll keep your grade up and you won't regret it!
- Make friends! This is a hard class but if you have people that can help you through it the class won't be so bad.
- If you want it, go get it. It's honestly all up to you if you want a good grade in this class. You have to put in the work by studying and doing your homework to get a good grade. Your teachers are great but they can't do the tests for you, they give u the resources to be successful. Make this year enjoyable and not a nightmare. Good luck and have an amazing precalc year!
- For me, I felt Pre-Calculus was a moderate paced class but, it did get difficult at times. I got through these difficult areas in Pre-Calc by first doing my homework assignments. The Homework assignments helped me practice and study what I had a hard time with. Don't ever feel like you don't have help either, Mr. B is the best, if you think something is difficult keep asking questions until you fully understand the concept. If you don't do well on a Key Concept Test don't feel down or discouraged because your teacher doesn't want you too, your teacher wants you to learn, and not only pass but excel. A challenge I had to conquer in Pre-Calc was having confidence in myself. I am a nervous test taker but Pre-Calc helped me learn how to calm myself and be confidence in my capacity to learn. Overall just study, do homework, and have confidence in yourself. -S.B
- Come to class every day and pay attention because it is easy to fall behind and it is hard to catch up. Doing your homework will also help you a lot. Even though it is not much of a grade your homework will help you understand the work a lot better and will help you pass the unit.
- Pre-Calculus might be hard or easy for you, and as former student , a piece of advice I could give you is to not be scared. Don't be scared to ask questions to your teacher, they're here to help you. Make friends with people in your class, you guys can work together and it'll be much easier. Don't be afraid of making mistakes, you actually learn a lot more that way. Good luck this year!
- Understand the concept from day! Don't just try to pass the test because every concept relies on the previous one. Don't slack off!!! Also homework can save your life!
- My advice to incoming students is that you should ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS do your homework because it will help you study for future quizzes and tests. "Repetition, the mother of memory"
- Pre-Calculus isnt hard ! Just do all your homework assignments, practie, practice, practice
- ALWAYS DO YOUR HOMEWORK!! It's honestly the easiest 5.0 you can get in this class and ALWAYS study for a quiz or test. If you're a person who doesn't do neither of these things then I suggest you to drop it because you'll never be able to catch up or do good in this class. GOOD LUCK!
- Try your best ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
- Do your homework. Do not be lazy, just do it. It's only 30 minutes max of your time. It'll be worth it in the end. This class is really easy as long as you just do your homework.
- Pre Calc is only as difficult as you make it. Do your homework EVERY SINGLE DAY and study for every test because even if you think "I'll get it later" later is never. If you don't get something, don't put yourself down for it. Just as for help, Mr B is very helpful and is always there for his students. Good luck :)
- If you want to succeed in this class, you have to put in the work which includes studying and doing homework. Don't blow it off because you think it isn't important, it is in fact the most important thing besides studying.
- Retake quizzes and tests if not satisfied! Doing homework saved my grade and kept it at C. If you want higher than a C, retake and try to get a higher score every time. Study too! Don't be on your phone, you stop paying attention for one second and you're lost. Don't ditch class either, it'll make you and your grade suffer later on.
- Please do not take this class as a joke, this is a serious class. This class is difficult in many ways. Please do not leave anything for the last minute. If you have a gut feeling that this class is not for you then follow your gut feeling. If you're up for a challenge and strive for greatness then be my guest and take the risk and succeed.
- Doing homework is probably the most important thing and easiest thing you do, but make sure you actually learn.
- In order to be successful in precalc you have to actually try and put in effort .you must try to complete as much homework as possible since that practice you get is the most important part of the class.
- Hello new precalc students. First of all, you have been BLESSED to have a teacher like Mr.B , he is an AMAZING teacher and he will DEFINITELY prepare you to pass this class. But, he cant be the one to help you all the time, you have to put in effort as well. And with that, i highly encourage you to do ALL of your homework. You can't skip one because of how behind you will be and you wont understand how to do it. Be here every day, and if you cant, find a way to get those notes because if you miss a day, thats pretty much like asking to fail the class. Precalc isnt hard if you out enough effort. Do your homework. Follow the rules. DONT FORGET YOUR ID. And STUDY. Study for the quizzes and tests. Retakes will ALWAYS be harder. Dont ever settle for a C, D, or low B. STRIVE FOR GREATNESS. Mr.B will always be there to help and will always be your support system. His class is fun and its a great learning environment. Don't expect him to treat you like a kid and dont act like one because that will not help you pass this class. Focus hard and you will get through! Strive for that A!
- Try your best to the homework and the test. Don't skip the homework or skip study, it'll make you unsuccessful.
- This course isnt as hard as i thought it would be, you just have to ne in class everyday and do your homework and you're good ! Dont slack off honestly don't its not worth it. You just have to stay positive and learn. Always retake tests to do better, never settle for less ! Dont be afraid of what you've heard from this course, its just like any other math class out there. If you're a math genius like me you'll like this class !
- One of my advices that i would give you guys is to Do your homework stay on task and STUDY for Your test . Put a lot of Effort in to this class. Stay after school if you can and everytime you dont understan something ask. Don't be afraid. This class takes lots of dedication and it will make u cry sometimes just keep working hard and everything will pay of. Good luck to everyone and best of wishes for all.(:
- If you like math or looking for a challenge Mr. B is a great teacher to give you the tools you need to be successful. You need to listen, pay attention and do your home work. If you are not willing to do the work then I suggest you either switch classes. There is no shame in it not everyone is great at math and this class is hard if you don't do your work. But if you are willing to put in the work and do what needs to be done then your are in great hands because Mr.B is a really great math teacher.
- Do all your homework. If you don't you're better off going into CAT or INT3. Don't pull an Emily and please do your homwork. I'm failing (:
- DO YOUR HOMEWORK! Keep it up in the class, pay attention! Always try your best & don't give up. It will be okay. You need to put a lot of effort in this class,so be ready. You have homework every night, so make sure you have time. But always remember to do your best. Don't stress out. Keep it up
- Try not to miss class. Pre calc gets more hard when you need to go over a subject by yourself
- Live in the moment of your math homework. PI GANG FOR LIFE
- Don't be lazy, study for every test and be part of the pi nation
- Life is 10% of what happens to you and 90% of how you react to it
- Don't be lazy! Most people coming in may be from honors like I did and trust me it's similar. Don't listen to the people who say this class is so hard and impossible because as long as you do your homework and study guide, you'll be fine. Make sure to ask a lot of questions to make sure you understand the topic , that's what the teachers are here for. If you have Mr. Horvath you are very lucky as he is the best math teacher I've had. Good luck this year and I hope you have fun in math!
- The Great Teacher Mr. Horvath taught like a god among men. His teaching was superb and enlightening. Do your homework or else you will fall into an abismal hole of despairity. It was fun. π-Nation
- If you're dedicated, stay on task, and pay attention, you'll be very successful in this class. When you are struggling and don't get what's going on, ask right away so you don't get left behind. The teachers are here to support and help you. Don't slack off, trust me, it's not a good idea. I've seen many who have slacked and well... you can figure out what their grade was... not really good... GOOD LUCK!
- Dear incoming students: PLEASE do your homework. If math isn't your strongest subject and you tend to flop on quizzes/tests, a perfect homework grade will help your overall grade. Also, it helps you better understand the material, so get it done!! Good luck!
- Don't think that copying the homework is going to help you pass this class , it's more than that you need to do it so ou can get a good understanding of the course otherwise you won't make it past the first semester in this class
- Pay attention in class and actually try. Don't goof off as much
- ALWAYS MAKE JOKES WITH MR. B he is the funniest teacher you'll ever meet. And if you ever need help go talk to him, because he really does care! Most of all talk about Justin Bieber to him. (Inside joke) Do your *beeping* homework, trust me you'll regret that when you're a senior ++ still trying to pass the class. #11_20
- If you're a sweater wearer, make sure you take it off before you get in the classroom
- ok. Just do your homework. Don't be a lazy bum and don't procrastinate. All the friends you're making will be irrelevant unless you have a class with them. So focus on your school work because that's the reason you're going to school. This class will be tough but if you pay attention and do your homework, it'll actually help on the long run. Don't be an Idiot.
- In order to be successful in pre calc only 3 things are needed which are: doing your homework, study for quizzes and study for tests. Good luck.
- Make sure you make it a priority to study before exams and DON'T BE AFRAID TO ASK QUESTIONS! At times you will feel like you do not understand certain concepts, make sure you show up before or after school and allow yourself to be meek enough to understand what you do not understand. Be punctual and respectful and TRY TO STAY ON TOP OF YOUR HOMEWORK! Also, do not be afraid to re-take, it may be harder but making corrections to your quizzes or tests allows you to learn from your mistakes. This class calls for effort, so be prepared to work. MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND NOTATION, NOTATION ERRORS CAN AND WILL HURT YOU.
- This School Year I Learned That You Have To Really focus &' No Suit Yourself With a Low Grade Knowing You Can Have A Second Chance To Do Better InThe Class. I Recommend To Stay Focused In Class. Ask For Help As Soon As You Can If And Then There Is A Topic You Don't Understand. Mr. B Will Always Be Available For Each &' Every One Of You
- As repetitive as it sounds, homework really does help. This isn't like any other math course many of you have taken before. This course requires effort. That homework grade can really change that B to an A, C to a B and so on. It will also help out with studying. In order to succeed in this class, one must set aside all the bad studying habits we have had in the past and adopt good ones. Taking several AP courses along with Pre-Calc has taught me that things aren't as easy as they were before, and they aren't as simple. One must stay constant with homework and studying. It hurts, and in many cases, it sucks. There are points where you may want to drop all of your honor courses, however that's when you know you are doing it right. That's when you know that you are giving it your all and that you may need to give more than your all. These honor courses have also taught me to not give up. You can give up, but it should be the last thing you think of. Bless.
- From my experience with dealing with pre-cal my advise to you guys is to work hard even if theres moments you will feel like quitting dont this class will help you alot for your future education and more.
- Never miss one day of school because if you miss one day of school you have missed a huge amount of math knowledge
- don't be absent for precalc because you will be so lost, also do your homework don't just copy it from your friends because you won't learn anything from it. Also do it your homework everyday because not doing it one day leads to you not doing it everyday and homework actually helps you understand the material. Also don't settle for the D or C you get in a test strive for a better grade while you can stay and retake don't be lazy and don't settle for a worse grade knowing you can do better, let Mr B help you and motivate you to do better, listen to him he's one of the teachers in this school who cares and wants to see his students do better.
- Pre-Calculus is honestly not that bad, pay lots of attentiomissing a day is like missing a whole unit. Know there are other ways to make it easier to understand problems or memorize things, look things up, make it easier for yourself. Do not think you can give a test without studying, STUDY. The class is time consuming but it is better to take your time making sure you understand a problem than just skimming through it, don't be afraid to ask questions Mr. B is the best
- Hello my fellow companions this is a difficult course and it will take a lot of time to do homework. You will need to study for your exams and quizzes because that will help a lot for the final. I have learned a lot in this course Mr. B is a great teacher very passionate about his job he loves math so much. It makes me sad leaving this class but it will be for the best because Mr. B wants the best for his students. Keep focus on school and don't let your dreams be dreams make them a reality that will benefit you in the future good luck you'll do great.
- First of all, never miss a day of class (don't ditch), if you do it will be hard to know what's up and also it will be hard to catch up. You might say, "I will just look at the notes online," but, it's hard if the teacher isn't there to teach you. Also, this class is quite challenging and homework is a necessity to do well in precalc. Another thing, if you do miss class, I encourage you to look at all the links Mr. B has provided because they help tremendously. Moving on, PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS, socializing with your classmates might be fun, but it won't help you on the day of the test. Lastly, don't slack off. Even if it's the last month of school. Dont worry, it will all get better.
- For sure you got to do your homework & do not copy homework because you'll be lost & you'll feel bad about yourself. Always try your best pay attention in class don't slack off. You need confidence in this class, you need to think positive, got to focus, you have to push yourself to the edge. This will be the hardest class you ever going to take this class takes time, it'll stress you out for sure at some points. But your good in math & feel good about yourself then do it! You got this!
- Do not put work before school, going to work rather than staying after school to retake a test or quiz or doing your homework is a bad idea, Mcdonalds or any job is NOT worth it believe me !!!! Strive to do good in precalc it is actually easy as long as you come to class and pay attention, also listen to Mr B he stays after school until like 5 to help his students don't be afraid to come seek his help
- do your homework and be on task 24/7
- Study the first time around, it's a lot easier to study the first time than wait for the retake which are a lot harder.
- Do your homework and study for exams as efficient as possible because the retakes are 1,000 times harder. being good at math is no ticket to success in precalc, work hard and intelligently
- There's a lot pf homework, but if you want to pass DO YOUR HOMEWORK EVERY DAY!!! Always pay attention in class because every detail will matter in the test, even notation!
- do your homework; I REPEAT DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!!!!
- Don't ditch because you will fall back and it'll hurt you in the long run. Stay in school and do all your work.
- Alright so its a brand new year, this is a chance for you to start good. Your previous class might have been hard but this class is sincerely difficult. I can guarantee you that there is a low chance of you passing with an A. I'll not saying this to discourage you, I just wanna warn you to actually do the homeworks because it actually helps and don't rely on retakes because those tend to be harder.
- DO YOUR HOMEWORK! if you don't then your not gonna know what your doing during the common assessments.
- Do your homework and study the unit which you're working on early. It wil be very helpful when it comes to quizzes, tests, and the grade for the class.
- Pre Cal is honestly challenging and will make you think and actually put in work if you want to pass the class. Don't play yourself and study last minute, actually work out problems and ask questions during class. Do your homework, trust me, it will serve as practice for the quizzes and tests. And keep in mind also, retakes are always harder than the original quizzes and tests so always be prepared the first time you take an exam.
- To future Precalc students, to succeed in this class, you want to make sure you do all the homework. It really helps you practice questions that are not reviewed, some of them are even on the tests. It will ultimately bring your grade down every unit you decide not to do it. There's not even that many problems per assignment. Also, retake ANY quiz or test you get a low score on. It might seem like it takes a lot of time because you have to come in for study sessions, but it is worth it. It will help your grade in Precalc increase. If you're lazy, I'd suggest going to your counselor after this and get out of this class. This class takes effort and if you're not willing to put in the time to do homework or study, you're wasting time. Good luck with the limits unit.
- Being in pre calc for a year now , it's not easy, if you don't do your homework every night , and wait till the next today before lunch you will not get any knowledge from it . Doing everything at home and studying for all of your test and quizzes, will help you a lot . Never leave anything for last minute. The teachers are really cool , Mr. H was the best one he will help you thru everything you need.
- Try to study well and uses the practice worksheet and go over homework problem. To have a better results in test. Don't copy homework, you'll struggle in the unit.
- Be sure not to slack off in the beginning of the year. It may be tempting to do so but this will only result in a long chain of events where you struggle to catch up. Each unit is comprised of 3 grades- quizzes, homework, and the exam- and a poor grade on one of them can really weaken your grade overall so it's best to be proactive with your education from the start. Also make sure to pay attention in class since everything discussed in class will translate directly to the homework you have been assigned.
- My advice is that you'll be obligated to memorize things and actually study. So if you're lazy, don't take this class.
- An advice to give is to complete assignments and show all your work. Showing your work can provide you to remember many equations you'll need. Take this class serious and Mr.B as well. He's a great teacher who wants you to succeed in this class. Listen to his rules and you should be able to do fine. Well good luck to you, you're going to need it. –Imp
Do all that and you'll pass with flying colors
- Do your homework. If you don't do the homework you won't ever do well on the unit test or quizzes. Pay attention and if you don't get something ask a friend or your teacher for help, staring at the paper for 20 minuets doesn't help you.
- Its going to sound very cliche, but really just do the homework. Most people fail or get a D because they dont use that time to practice. Home work is really just practice and when its rhe day before the test there'll be less stress and fear. Its sucks to be the person who's trying to learn the entire unit before the test so dont be that person.
- Chill. The worst thing you can do is worry. Worrying is bad, and only negativity only leads to disaster. Just think, Precalc ain't that hard (it really isn't terribly difficult). That way you have a positive thought (as long as your not cocky, nobody likes someone who is cocky) and of lf else fails, think, "There is always someone worse than me."
- Pay attention and do your homework or you will sink like the Titanic
- Do not FALL behind. Precalc is very rigorous and requires lots of attention. You need to make sure to study for finals and tests beforehand because retakes are long and grueling experiences that can be avoided. If you do decide to do retakes, don't wait until the last possible day to do a session because they always get packed.
- Do your homework! Don't fall behind. It may start as an easy course but as soon as you become lazy you will be doomed!
- Do your homework and study, don't simply cram information into your brain
- Drop this class as soon as possible. If you can't then I strongly suggest that you turn in every assignment, it really does help you once you take your quizzes and tests.
- In order for you to succeed and achieve your grade goal is to retake tests and quizzes if not satisfied. Dont let homework pile up because you will get stressed out. Believe in yourself do the best you can.
- Biggest advice for pre-calc is to do all your homework assignments and always always pay attention in class. You don't want to fall behind and always practice. even if my self didn't do all this I highly recommend for you to do it, Dont be a kid like me that always left everything for the last minute and tried everything to have passing grade by the end of the semester. Dont be a me you would regret, try your best in this class please and thank you I highly recommend it. Do your best , always do your work and always pay attention in class. Mr.B would always be there for you and always take advantage every single chance he gives you, you would regret it if you dont.
- Pre-Calculus is quite the challenge if I'm being honest. I definitely had my struggles but I've also learned so much just in this class than any other my whole life. I don't only mean the material but I learned a lot about myself and how to deal with stress, keep myself motivated and staying focused which was something I rarely thought about in previous courses. A piece of advice is to do this class not because you were forced but because you accept the challenge, that's what I did and although I struggled so much I don't regret it. DO YOUR HOMEWORK. Try to retake as many things as possible, and overall have confidence in yourself. Having Mr B. as a teacher especially made this journey better, his passion for math is truly uplifting, anyway good luck students precalc although being challenging is worth it.
